A Cold War Against China is Foolish

Trump, Republican politicians, and Fox News are making a lot of noise about China. The rhetoric seems to be stirring up a new Cold War between the U.S. and China. Evidently, this targeting relates to the 2020 presidential election. It distracts attention from the administration’s failures to respond aggressively to the pandemic. Essentially, the China bashers are saying the Chinese are to blame for our troubles. Too bad. During the health crisis, these two important societies should be cooperating in efforts to develop vaccines and treatments. The pandemic is a global problem. Struggles against it need joint efforts by medical experts in these scientifically advanced nations.
